The challenge

Fennick roasted some of the best coffee in the region, but its shop sold bags one at a time. Subscriptions were hidden three clicks deep and checkout took over two minutes on a phone.

What we did

We started with the people who already subscribed and asked why. The answer was rarely the coffee alone: it was not having to think about it. So the new shop leads with the subscription and treats single bags as a way to try it.

The brand refresh kept Fennick’s hand-drawn roasting drum but gave it a calmer type system and a warmer palette that works on bags, boxes and screens.

On the build side we moved the shop to a headless set-up with a two-step checkout, saved preferences and a pause button that turned cancellations into skipped weeks.

“We used to sell coffee. Now we sell a Friday morning ritual, and people keep it for years.”
